BRADENTON, Fla. - Manatee County Sheriff's deputies didn't have to go far to respond to a crime. A stabbing victim showed up at their sub-station in Bradenton Wednesday.

Around 4:30pm, authorities say 42-year-old Robert Wesley and 29-year-old Antonio Williams got into a fight over a shirt and $10 on 6th Street Court East, just off 57th Avenue. During the fist fight, Williams stabbed Wesley twice in the chest.

The sheriff’s office says Wesley then drove himself around the corner to a sheriff's office location on 57th Avenue East at 5th Street.

Wesley was taken to Blake Medical Center in serious condition.

“It’s not that rare of an occasion, for us to have somebody come knocking on our door with a problem. Usually nothing this severe, but it happens,” says Lt. Andy Ramdath.

Williams is in custody, and charged with Attempted Murder.

Wesley is reported to be in critical condition, but is expected to recover.
