MANATEE COUNTY - The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for help investigating the crash that killed teacher Dan Giguere earlier this month near the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.

35-year-old Giguere, was a teacher and basketball coach at Sarasota School of Arts and Science and a locally-known skateboarding coach who died February 8th when he lost control of his car and crashed into a car headed the other direction.

FHP now says they are looking for information on two other vehicles reportedly at the scene at the time of the crash.

They say Giguere was attempting to pass a white pickup truck pulling a landscaping trailer, and a blue Ford Mustang when the crash happened.

If you witnessed the crash or the driving pattern of these other vehicles prior to the crash, you're asked to contact Corporal David Brunner at 941-751-8366, or at davidbrunner@flhsmv.gov.
