BRADENTON, Fla. -- Trooper say a motorcyclist was speeding when he ran a red light on 75th Street West and crashed into a car, killing him Saturday.

It happened just after 5:30pm at the intersection with 29th Avenue West.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Brian Casey of Bradenton was headed northbound on 75th Street as a "high rate of speed" and drove through a red light.

At the same time an SUV driven by a 70-year-old Bradenton woman entered the intersection on the green light.  Casey's motorcycle hit the side of the SUV and Casey wound up partially inside the SUV's passenger-side rear door window.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV was uninjured and faces no charges.
