SARASOTA, Fla. - Wednesday's house fire on San Remo Terrace near the Siesta Drive Bridge comes with a celebrity twist.

The property was recently purchased by musician Stu Cook, formerly of Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Cook was the bass player for the band that had such hits as "Down on the Corner", “Fortunate Son", and "Born on the Bayou."

As for his waterfront home, Sarasota County fire crews say the house was vacant and under construction for remodeling when the fire broke out.
