Family gets funding from Bradenton foundation to save pets life

Bradenton, FL-Bailey's Buddies announced a distribution of funds to a financially challenged canine family. Jade, a German short hair pointer, was diagnosed with jaw cancer. Surgery is complete with a positive long term prognosis.

We are convinced Bailey had his "paw" in this today as it comes on the 2nd anniversary of his passing.

Bailey's Buddies is a 501 c 3 charitable pet foundation and trust, it was started in memory of Bailey, a kindhearted, beautiful, mixed breed canine. He was loved deeply by his family who rescued him from the Humane Society of Manatee County in 1998. Bailey enjoyed 13 plus healthy years of life. He was a 15-month cancer survivor, bouncing back from Hemangiosarcoma (HSA) and then Intestinal Lymphoma. Bailey passed away in August 2011 from complications due to the Intestinal Lymphoma.

There are many loving canine families who unfortunately are not in a solid financial situation. They are distraught that their dog is ill with canine lymphoma and feel a sense of being overwhelmed with the burden of the cost for medical care.  Funds directed into Bailey’s Buddies will provide hope by working directly with Veterinarians assisting those families who demonstrate substantial financial need. Bailey’s Buddies also supports research and education about the disease.
