SARASOTA - For the first time in its 29 year history, the Sahib Shrine Circus is hooking up with Circus Sarasota for its annual fund raising performance.
Circus Sarasota CEO Pedro Reis says the partnership makes perfect sense. Both the Shriners and Circus Sarasota are community service organizations. The Shriners help more than 1500 children with medical needs every year, and Circus Sarasota has the facility and the knowledge to put on a great show.
So on Friday and Saturday, the Shrine Circus will take over the Sailor Circus Arena on Bahia Vista just off U.S. 41. And Circus Sarasota is booking the acts and producing the show.
The Flying Cortes headline the show. There will also be jugglers, a hand balancing act, performing dogs and horses, a trick roper, and a stunt motorcycle act.
