VENICE, Fla. - Director Brad Wages made major changes in the script of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat".
The show is the grand finale of the Venice Theatre's Summer Stock Program, which is a training program for high school and college students who are considering making theatre their career.
As he was preparing the script, Wages saw a commercial for The Make A Wish Foundation. So he decided to incorporate their message into the play.
Make a Wish introduced him to 10 year old Hannah Swain. At age 4 she was diagnosed with Leukemia, and her wish was to become an actress.
Wages incorporated Hannah's story of survival, she's fine now, in with Joseph's story, and tells a tail of faith, determination and strength.
Plus the music is awesome. It's at the Venice Theatre through Sunday.
