SARASOTA COUNTY - The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office would like the public to be on the lookout for an endangered man whose vehicle was found on I-75.

Eduardo Jesus Lavado left Miami on Saturday and his blue 2009 Nissan Sentra was abandoned on the southbound shoulder of the interstate near mile marker 201 between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., Wednesday. The vehicle had not run out of gas.

Lavado is 44-years-old, 5’ 10” tall and weighs 265 pounds and suffers from mental health issues. He has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing dark basketball shorts, a light colored t-shirt with stripes and plain white Air Jordan sneakers. He is bilingual and speaks English with an accent.

Anyone who sees him should contact 911 or the non-emergency number 941.316.1201.
