SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. -- A Suncoast duck is recovering from a pellet wound to his back.

The Wildlife Center of Venice says the duck, named “Quackers”, had to undergo surgery to repair his wound.

But his rehabilitation is going very well. So well in fact that Quackers bit the doctor during his last check-up.

The doctor says he is happy with the progress Quackers is making.
