Drug Dealer arrested on multiple drug-related charges

PUNTA GORDA - Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics detectives arrested a Punta Gorda man following three undercover drug purchases. James Lee Dabney, age 34, was arrested at his home.

Detectives purchased Vicodin pills from Dabney on Aug. 8 and again on Aug. 18. On Oct. 29, Dabney sold them Hydrocodone pills. Narcotics detectives said Dabney is a known street-level narcotics dealer. He has been booked eight times into the Charlotte County Jail with 16 records.

Dabney is charged with two counts of Sale and Delivery of Vicodin, two counts of Possession of Vicodin, and one count each for Sale and Delivery of Hydrocodone and Possession of Hydrocodone. He remains in jail on no bond due to his extensive criminal record.
