NORTH PORT, Fla. – There’s new information in the investigation surrounding two North Port Police officers charged with sexual battery.

A Probable Cause Affidavit has been released outlining what officers Ricky Urbina and Melanie Turner say happened at a party that led to the criminal charges.

The affidavit says Officer Urbina admitted to attending the party and having sexual contact with the alleged victim, but he claimed it was consensual.

Officer Turner told authorities she was intoxicated at the March 2nd party and doesn't remember anything.

Both allegedly handcuffed the party host, led her into a bedroom and sexually battered her.

Officer Urbina took his own life last week after being charged. Officer Turner will be arraigned on April 25th.

I don't find any of this hard to believe, cops, police whichever you choose to address them by have always felt that they can do whatever to whoever they want to and don't have to answer to anyone. This is just another incident of a different type of corruption. This also gives a black eye to the officers who do their job diligently and that are professionals in the carrying out of their duties.
