SARASOTA – In a follow-up to a story we brought you last week, a disabled World War II veteran has been reunited with a wedding and engagement ring belonging to his late wife; this after his own houseguests stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from him.

Boston Dixon got the good news Wednesday. Detectives with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office recovered the rings at a pawn shop.

He told ABC 7 last week that the diamond engagement and wedding rings meant more to his wife than any gift she had ever received.

Dixon didn’t think he would ever see that jewelry again. “I just thank God that I got that back, because that was my gift to her when we got married about 70 years ago. No love would ever be any greater than the love for my wife.”

Those houseguests, Kevin and Christina Babbidge remain behind bars, charged with Exploitation of the Elderly.
