SARASOTA, Fla. -- A local developer hopes adding a trolley service will lessen traffic concerns about the opening of the Mall at University Town Center.

According to the Bradenton Herald, Benderson Development is seeking a series of approvals for the new service that would shuttle shoppers to surrounding areas, including Lakewood Ranch, The Meadows, and Fruitville Road.

If approved, the first phase of the free service will be up and running by opening day of the mall on October 16th.
