ENGLEWOOD, Fla. - Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects who broke into an Englewood area pawn shop early Tuesday morning.

Deputies were called to The Kings Pawn, located at 2485 S. McCall Road in Englewood, shortly after 3:00 am Tuesday, February 4. They arrived to find the front glass door broken out. Several firearms were taken from a smashed display case.

During the investigation, detectives obtained photos from the security video that showed at least two people entering the store dressed in hooded shirts and wearing gloves. They also obtained video from a nearby business that showed a dark colored vehicle pulling down the street and then leaving within a few minutes at a high rate of speed.

Detectives are asking that anyone with information concerning this burglary please call the Sheriff’s Office at (941) 639-2101, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
