SARASOTA, Fla. - The owner of a Sarasota pet sitting service has been arrested after a client says she stole over $12,000 worth of jewelry from her home.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, the victim reported in December that jewelry, cash and electronics items valued at $12,300 were missing from her home. Detectives searched pawn databases and found two transactions by 42-year-old Jill Huber of Sarasota pawning those items.

The victim explained that Huber, owner of Pro Pet Services in Sarasota, lived at her home for a month last fall in exchange for dog sitting services while she was out of town.

Huber has been charged with two counts of Providing False Ownership Information to a Pawn Broker and two counts of Dealing in Stolen Property.

Huber was also arrested for Grand Theft in December after another client reported $30,000 worth of jewelry was taken from her home and detectives determined the items were pawned by Huber.
