FT. MYERS, FL. - A Venice man is arrested and charged after police say he attempted to burglarize a home in the nude.
Lee County Deputies were called to a home in southern Fort Myers Monday around 7 p.m. after the homeowners say they heard noises coming from their roof. When the residents went to investigate, they saw 21-year-old Gregory Bruni naked on the roof.
The suspect allegedly jumped off, stormed into their home and pulled a large-screen TV off its stand and dumped the contents of a vacuum onto the floor. He then headed toward the couple's son's bedroom, where several guns were stored, so the man's wife fired three warning shots from a .38 revolver. Bruni fell to the floor, and then began pleasuring himself. He got up off the floor, ran into the son's bedroom and began rubbing clothing on his face.
The couple had to forcibly detain Bruni by gunpoint until deputies could arrive.
He was taken to the hospital, where doctors say they don't know if he was under the influence of any substances. He was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief, Battery and Burglary.
