Deputies: Man attempts robbery of woman at bank ATM

SARASOTA, FL. - Deputies are looking for a suspect who attempted to rob a woman at a Sarasota bank ATM.

It happened Wednesday around 9:40 pm at the Bank of America located at 3600 Bee Ridge Road.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, the victim reported that she was at the ATM machine in front of the bank attempting to make a deposit, when the suspect approached her and demanded her money. The victim screamed and ran to her vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’05”, in his 20’s, black hair short on sides /long in back and wearing a blue/black/orange hoodie. The suspect fled the scene in what appeared to be a blue Mazda Miata that had LED lights on the bottom of the vehicle.
