Deputies investigate shots fired in Sarasota

SARASOTA - Sheriff's deputies are investigating multiple shots fired in a Sarasota neighborhood Friday night.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded around 9pm to the intersection of 26th Street and North Euclid Avenue.

When they arrived, the 44-year-old victim told deputies that he had an encounter with several men, and at least two of them began firing guns at him as he fled the scene.

No people or structures were hit.  Deputies have identified two of the four suspects and are getting warrants for their arrest.  Investigators are working to identify the other two suspects.
