1 dead, 1 serious after crash on I-75 in Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL. - One person is dead and another in serious condition after a crash on I-75.

It happened Monday around 8:20 pm on I-75 south of MM 154.

48-year-old Frank A. Zaccone and 51-year-old Judy Hana, both of Deerfield Beach, were traveling south on I-75 just south of the 154 mile marker.

Zaccone attempted to change lanes and was nearly hit by an unknown vehicle. He lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.

Zaccone was airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital in serious condition. Hanna was transported to Charlotte Regional Medical Center, where she pronounced deceased.
