SARASOTA - An accident in Sarasota kills a young Nokomis man and seriously injured two others.

Florida Highway Patrol says the accident happened just after 10 pm Saturday.

18-year-old Sam Ball lost control of his Toyota Tundra as he drove south on I-75 near Mile marker 201. He went off the road and the truck rolled over.

18-year-old Mitchell Davis was thrown out of the vehicle and died at the scene. A 21-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries, while the driver has only minor injuries.

Troopers say alcohol did not play a role, but charges are pending.
