SARASOTA - The identities of the victims in Saturday's plane crash near the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport have been released.

Authorities say 70-year-old John Ardoyno from Hayward, Wisconsin was showing the Sea Wind 3000 amphibious plane to 63-year-old William Jackson of Ann Arbor, Michigan around 3:30pm Saturday when the plane crashed shortly after takeoff onto the campus of New College in Sarasota.

Ardoyno died in the crash.  Jackson was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition, after suffering second and third-degree burns from the crash.

No bystanders on the ground were injured in the crash.

The NTSB arrived on scene Sunday morning and are investigating the crash.
