County offers early voting for Nov. 6 election

SARASOTA, FL. - Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent is offering early voting for the Nov. 6 General Election Oct. 27-Nov. 3.

During the eight-day early voting period, eligible voters may cast their ballots at any one of the six locations listed below between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily.

Florida Law requires voters to present photo and signature ID upon entering the polling place and prior to voting. A voter who appears at the polls without a current and valid photo and signature ID will be allowed to vote a provisional ballot.

To vote by mail (absentee), voters should call (941) 861-8618 to request an absentee ballot. Requests for ballots to be mailed must be received by the supervisor of elections no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.
