SARASOTA - Congressman Vern Buchanan made a number of stops along the Suncoast Friday. He, along with U.S. House Transportation Committee Chairman Bill Shuster, toured Port Manatee Friday morning.
This comes as the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee sets national policy and funding for highways, airports and beach replenishment.
The two were given a briefing about how the port works and what it needs to function.
Buchanan is pushing for more federal money to help expand the port. "There is a big opportunity for all our ports, and my main thrust right now is to help Port Manatee get to the next level. As we've mentioned, we've got the land, we've got the opportunity, we just need to get some things addressed in Washington," said Buchanan.

In seems that by Vern Buchanan and other very rich friends voting against any increase for the top 2 percent -- also closing loop holes in the tax code for the very rich: it causes you to pick up the additional tax tab. You taxes are going up a wholr lot.

Why are you not in DC and fighting to stop the automatic cuts without the increses in revenue. Why aren't you fighting for voters and consumers.
Didn't you recently vote against a bill that would have given millions to improve, expand and fix major freeways in Florida. A bill that would have bought millions to Florida in salaries and jobs.

You voted against the use of federal funds to improve major federal highways in florida which cost it jobs and road improvements.
You now spend time in Florida rather than being in DC to vote on stoping the automatic cuts in spending that will hurt the economy and millions of american middle class.
You refuse to pass any law in which there are increases of taxes for the richest americans (which you are one) this at the expense of the voters and consumers.
You refuse to pass any bill or law where there will be the closing of tax loop holes that benefit only the very wealthy.
