BRADENTON, Fla. -- Manatee County School District officials have agreed to dismiss a complaint against former principal Robert Gagnon, according to the Bradenton Herald.
That is, unless he goes back to work for the district.
Then they may re-file the complaint that he didn't fully cooperate during an investigation of a former Manatee High School baseball coach, Dwayne Strong.
Coach Strong resigned last year amid an investigation into financial improprieties between school district money and his personal business.
Gagnon was suspended from his Assistant Superintendent position while on trial for failing to report child abuse, a charge for which he was acquitted.
Meanwhile, a federal judge has dismissed part of a lawsuit filed by a former Manatee High School employee against the school district.
Two counts were dismissed in a Tampa courtroom Monday. In the lawsuit, a former parent liaison claims the district retaliated against her after reporting inappropriate behavior by former football coach Rod Frazier.
Earlier this year, Frazier pleaded no contest to four misdemeanor counts of battery on students and staff.
