HOLMES BEACH, Fla. -- The Holmes Beach Traffic and Congestion Committee is looking to restrict all parking on residential areas on the beach.

The committee will meet Monday to discuss those plans, which they'll present next month to city commissioners.

Anna Maria Island is a popular spot for both tourists and locals, making parking a hassle for the entire area. The committee has been working with private businesses to provide additional parking spots for beachgoers. But as it stands, many park in residential areas – something that island residents have voiced their concerns over.
