SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. -- North Port city commissioners could name a short term manager for Warm Mineral Springs at a meeting Monday night, when they will discuss the bids that came in to manage the landmark.

Five bidders submitted plans, but only one of those bidders has met all of the requirements.

Commissioners will now make a selection and send the recommendation to the county for approval. North Port also plans to have a long term plan in place by Sept. 1.

The spring has been closed since last July, after the city and county couldn't reach an agreement on management.
