SARASOTA, FL. - The 2013 Click It or Ticket campaign, where police educate and enforce seat belt laws on un-buckled motorists runs until March 16.

The Sarasota Police Department joins other law enforcement agencies in Florida to help save lives by strictly enforcing seat belt laws around the clock.

Sgt. Resch of the Sarasota Police Department Traffic Unit stated the sign board which reads “Click It or Ticket” will be out in different locations in the City of Sarasota to remind drivers that buckling up is the best defense against injuries and fatalities.

A seat belt violation will cost you $116.00.
