SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. - A Venice man got his Friday the 13th off to a bad start, sinking his Mustang into an interstate retention pond.  Thankfully he was uninjured.

It happened at 7:12am Friday on Interstate 75 near the S.R. 681 flyover (mile marker 200).

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Dylon Hall was northbound on the interstate and began to feel ill.  As he started to pull over onto the shoulder, he blacked out, causing his car to drive into a pond on the side of the road.

The car became totally submerged, but Hall was able to roll down a side window and swim to the shore.
