SARASOTA, Fla. - A charter bus full of Port Charlotte High School students was involved in a 4-vehicle crash Wednesday.  None of the students were injured.

It happened at 3:25pm in the southbound lanes of I-75 near the Fruitville Road exit.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a full-size Chevy pickup truck towing a trailer had a tire blow out, causing it to begin weaving across lanes.

A nearby charter bus carrying 50 students and 4 chaperones from Port Charlotte High collided with another vehicle that had abruptly changed lanes to avoid the truck.  That vehicle maintained control and left the scene.  The bus also collided with another southbound Ford truck.

The only injuries were minor injuries suffered by the driver of the Ford truck.

The driver of the Chevy truck was cited for Faulty Equipment and No Proof of Insurance.
