Brush fire shuts down lanes of I-75 in North Manatee County

**9PM UPDATE** FHP has reopened all lanes of I-75


MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Florida Highway Patrol has shut down all lanes of Interstate 75 near the Manatee-Hillsborough County line due to smoke from a brush fire.

The fire is in the area of mile marker #233, north of the Moccasin Wallow Road exit.

All southbound traffic is being routed off at the mile marker 240 exit in Ruskin, and directed west towards U.S. 41, then south, re-entering at I-275.

All northbound traffic is being directed onto I-275 at mile marker 228, exiting at U.S. 41, then northbound on U.S. 41 to Ruskin.
