Bradenton woman shoots at deputies for unknown reason

BRADENTON, Fla. – Deputies were shot at in Bradenton Sunday morning at approximately 5:20 am.

The reason for the shooting is still unknown. A deputy made a traffic related stop on Cortez road but while checking the driver's information she sped away and ran into a concrete wall.

When deputies went to check on the driver, now identified as Darlene Miller, she started shooting at them.

The suspect fired an additional two rounds before fleeing on foot. Miller was found walking on the 2700 block of Bradenton and detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer.
