SARASOTA, Fla. - A Bradenton woman lost control of her car on I-75 Tuesday night, careening across the median and the other lanes of traffic and sending her to the hospital, troopers say.
It happened near the Bee Ridge Road exit around mile marker 208 around 11pm Tuesday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Niccole Carroll was headed southbound on the interstate when she lost control of her BMW car for unknown reasons.
An FHP report says the car entered the median, stuck the cable barrier and overturned several times. The car returned upright and continued across the northbound lanes, eventually coming to a rest on the east shoulder of the highway.
Carroll, who was wearing her seat belt, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton for treatment.
