BRADENTON, Fla. -- Police have taken security cameras at Bradenton’s Riverwalk one step further.

The Bradenton Herald is reporting that police now have streaming live video that can be viewed at the station or in officer’s cars.

Certain patrol cars have iPads in them, which allows the officers to logon and view the Riverwalk at any time.

The next step is to improve lighting and put up signs at the park to alert people that the area is under surveillance.

ABC 7's Todd Dunn is following this story and will have a report tonight on ABC 7 News at 5.
