Bradenton man crashes vehicle into garage during high speed chase

BRADENTON, FL-  A Bradenton man is behind bars after police say he stole a car, and crashed it into a home during a high speed chase.

It happened early Friday morning at the intersection of 57th Avenue East and 9th Street in Bradenton.  According to Manatee County Deputies, 28 year old Kenneth Stillson took took a car from a home on Sunset Drive without permission.  The car was reported stolen.

When deputies caught up with the vehicle, Stillson sped away.  A vehicle chase took police to speeds over 80 miles per hour.  At one point stop sticks were placed in the roadway, and Stillson swerved to avoid them, hitting a curb, flipping the car and crashing into the garage of a home.

Following the crash, deputies learned a woman was in the car with Stillson against her will.  No one was hurt in the crash.  Stillson faces multiple charges.
