BRADENTON, Fla. - A Bradenton man was carjacked early Monday morning as he left a convenience store.

It happened at the 3300 block of 53rd Avenue East around 2 a.m. The victim was leaving a Circle K store when a man approached him and displayed a weapon.  The suspect then demanded the victim's wallet and keys to the vehicle.

The suspect struck the victim and jumped in the vehicle and drove off.  Deputies were called and a search turned up the car at another location abandoned.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
