BRADENTON, Fla. - A Bradenton man is in jail after deputies say he attempted to hold up an IHop restaurant.

It happened at the IHop on state road 64th near 8th Avenue West.  According to a deputies report, 37 year old Dennis Lane entered the restaurant and approached an employee at the front desk.  He demanded cash and implied he had a knife.

Before the employee could hand over the cash, Lane left and fled on SR 64 in a vehicle pulling a trailer.  Witnesses provided a description of the suspect and his vehicle.  Deputies were able to locate Lane on State Road 64, where he was arrested.
