Bradenton ice cream salesman robbed at gunpoint

Bradenton, FL-  Manatee County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an armed robbery at the 1700 block of 32nd Ave. E. around 8:30 p.m. Monday night.

According to a report, the victim, Austroberto Santis, rides a tri-cycle bike and sells ice cream from it.  Santis was approached by two black males who said they wanted to buy some ice cream.  When he got off his bike and opened his freezer, one of the suspects stuck a gun in his side.

Santis swung around and elbowed the suspect holding the gun.  The suspect was knocked off balance.  The two men then grabbed hands full of ice cream and ran away.

Deputies could not locate the suspects.
