Bradenton family loses home, pet dog in early morning fire

BRADENTON, FL. - A family of 4 has been displaced after a fire in their Bradenton home.

On Tuesday around 3:41 a.m., Bradenton Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire at 1301 12th Avenue West. Upon arrival at 3:43 am, the first responding units found a working residential structure fire. They were able to bring the fire under in about 15 minutes.

There were no reported resident injuries, though there was one dog fatality and two additional animals missing. The family was displaced by the fire, which caused an estimated $50,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
