Sarasota, FL - On Thursday, a Booker High School teacher will return to the classroom, after being placed on administrative leave on April 15.

According to the Sarasota County School District, police investigated claims that Doug O'Connell inappropriately touched a teenage girl.  However, last month, the State Attorney's Office ruled there was not enough evidence to charge O'Connell with a misdemeanor battery count.

The school district also says O'Connell was not authorized to be alone with the student; he is expected to face an eventual five-day unpaid suspension.
