Body found in street near Booker High School in Sarasota

SARASOTA, FL- Sarasota police are conducting a homicide investigation after a body was found in the street near Booker High School.

On Monday around 10:30 p.m., Sarasota Police officers were dispatched to a suspicious incident involving a body lying on the side of the road in the 3200 block of Orange Avenue in Sarasota.

Officers found the body of 23-year-old Carlton Parhm of Palmetto on the east side of the road on the curb of the northbound lane of Orange Avenue.

The case is still under investigation, and is being investigated as a homicide.
