Body found floating in Sarasota's Urfer Park Sunday

SARASOTA, Fla. – A park visitor discovered a body in a popular Sarasota park Sunday afternoon.

The discovery was made around 2pm at the lake in Urfer Park at Bee Ridge Road and Honore Avenue. According to detectives with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office a park visitor noticed a floating object in the water and called 911. That object turned out to be a body.

The person has been identified as 55-year-old Donald Orser.  Investigators say there were no signs of foul play and don't consider the death suspicious.

The medical examiner has not yet determined the cause of death.
