SARASOTA, Fla. – In a followup to a story we told you about last month, the owner of a Sarasota restaurant plagued with recent problems has been given more time to work out the establishment’s issues.

Bob's Boathouse was granted a 30 day extension Tuesday to temporarily occupy the building.

According to the Herald Tribune, the owner, Tom Lefevre was given the extra time after he paid $77,000 in utility fees it owed to the county. Last week, Lefevre filed suit against the county, claiming it changed terms after an agreement over the temporary certificate had been made.

Now the restaurant has 30 days to comply with a list of outstanding issues in order to get a permanent occupancy certificate.
