SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – There’s mixed news coming from the state capitol for Suncoast organizations looking for state funding.

In the budget delivered to state lawmakers, Bradenton's IMG Academy would get $5 million in state funding.

But losing out is Benderson Park, which is managed by the Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates. The group has been heavily reliant on state and local tax dollars to fund park projects.

The Sarasota Herald Tribune reports the group still needs $11 million to finish work ahead of the 2017 World Rowing Championships.

A final vote on the budget is expected by Friday.
