SARASOTA - Authorities are on the lookout for a hit and run suspect.
It happened Friday around 1 p.m. at Honore and Fruitville Road.
A pick-up truck was heading south on Honore Avenue approaching the intersection with Fruitville Road. 62-year-old Pamela Bavo was stopped at that intersection.
The driver of the pick-up failed to stop in time to prevent a collision. The front of the truck struck the rear of Bavo. The driver of the pick-up then left the scene.
The vehicle sought is described as a small white pick-up truck with a green and blue logo. The driver is white male in his early 20’s.
Anyone who may have witnessed this crash or has any knowledge as to the identity/location of the hit and run driver and/or vehicle is asked to contact Florida Highway Patrol Trooper J.C. McMahan at 941-492-5850 ext. 31927.
