SIESTA KEY – The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating the suspected drowning of a teenager found in a Siesta Key condominium pool early Friday morning.

Deputies were called to the Crystal Sands Condominiums, 6300 Midnight Pass Road, at 3:25 a.m., by a resident who found the victim at the bottom of the pool. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Garrett Mabrey from Columbus, Indiana. He was last seen just before midnight by his family who was staying there while on vacation.

Detectives suspect the teen's death was accidental but an autopsy will be performed to confirm the cause of death.
