TALLAHASSEE - The founder of the Asolo Repertory Theatre is being remembered by colleagues and friends.

Richard Fallon died Thursday at the age of 89.

Fallon helped start the theatre back in 1960, while working as an associate professor at Florida State University.

Fallon talked with school officials about creating a summer theater festival at the Ringling Museum, and the rest is history.

Fallon died at a hospice in Tallahassee. A memorial service will be held on May 29 in Tallahassee.
