PORT CHARLOTTE, FL. - Charlotte County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested three people New Year’s Eve, after 42.3 grams of Methamphetamine seized along with $790 in cash.
Also, 1.7 grams of the Methamphetamine powder was found in the shoe of a one-year old baby girl in the back seat of the SUV.
Arrested were 41-year-old Manuel Angel Rolon, 20-year-old Dodie Allyson Albritton and 29-year-old Bret Alexander Rule
At 9:26 p.m. a deputy observed a silver Mercedes SUV on Veterans Boulevard drifting over the center line, drifting back, and sideswiping a curb in the media several times. A traffic stop was made on Torrington Street. Rolon, the driver, told deputies his license was suspended three times. A check of the tag on the SUV showed it registered to a white Chevrolet. As Rolon exited the SUV deputies discovered a clear plastic baggy with white powder and $790 in his shorts pocket. The powder tested positive for Methamphetamine. Deputies contacted CCSO Narcotics to the scene.
When Albritton stepped out of the SUV deputies observed a plastic baggy sticking out of the top of her bra. There were two smaller baggies inside the baggy that contained powdered Meth. Rule was in the back seat and deputies observed him moving around and hiding a plastic baggy under his right thigh next to the child in a baby seat. An inventory of the SUV revealed 1.7 grams of loose powdered Methamphetamine was located inside one of the infant’s shoes in her mother Albritton’s purse within reach of the infant. Albritton had a total of 39.4 grams of Meth; Rolon had two grams Meth; and Rule was in possession of .9 grams of Meth. The cash was seized for forfeiture.
All three were transported to the Charlotte County Jail. Rolon and Albritton were both charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Child Neglect and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Rolon was additionally charged with Driving While License Suspended. Rule was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All three remain in custody; Rolon on $202,500 bond, Albritton on $72,500 bond, and Rule on $6,500 bond. This is the eighth booking for Rolon, the fourth for Rule, and first for Albritton.
