SARASOTA - Detectives have arrested a Sarasota man in connection to a meth lab investigation that began last month at a Sarasota Springs home.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, 25-year-old Sean Flavell has been arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Manufacturing Methamphetamine.

An investigation began last month when his mother found him cooking methamphetamine in their garage in the 2700 block of Nodosa Drive in the Sarasota Springs area.

Flavell fled the scene before deputies arrived and discovered he was using a one pot method to manufacture significant quantities of the drug. Detectives continued the investigation and found he had bought the total quantity of Pseudoephedrine allowed for the year, confirmed the substance found was indeed meth and that fingerprints on the bottles belonged to Flavell.

Detectives located him Thursday in Easter Manatee County and he was arrested.  Flavell is being held in the Manatee County Jail on $27,500 bond.

Very saddened by this.... knew the family and Sean as a little adorable blonde boy about 7 years old. Just goes to prove that meth is a very dangerous and vile drug that ruins the lives of way too many people. Hopefully he will get the help he needs. My thoughts and with the family.
