SARASOTA, Fla. - The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in the armed robbery of a Sarasota Papa John’s Pizza.

The robbery happened Aug. 10, at the Papa John’s on South Tuttle Avenue.

Witnesses at the scene described the suspect as a tall, thin white male in his 40's with sunken cheeks and tan skin, dressed in a blue/green shirt, hat and sunglasses.

During a search, deputies found the suspect's bicycle, items of clothing and knife. At the time, deputies located a man matching the description of the suspect who was running without a shirt or shoes.

44-year-old Scott Sebor said he was out for a run and claimed he was barefoot, because he was a Florida boy. At the time, one of the witnesses could not identify Sebor as the suspect so he was released. Detectives later interviewed other employees who had close contact with the suspect and they identified Sebor in photo lineups.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Sebor and he turned himself in to the Sarasota County Jail Thursday night.

Sebor is charged with Armed Robbery, his 13th arrest for crimes including Aggravated Stalking, Trafficking in Cocaine and multiple drug possession charges.
