SARASOTA, FL. - Architects are sharing their plans for a major condominium-hotel project in Sarasota.

The "Vue Sarasota Bay" will be built at the coveted corner of U.S. 41 and Gulfstream Avenue.

On Thursday, the architects who are designing the $300 million-dollar project showed off the highlights of the project.

Both the condo and the hotel will be 18 stories high and will be built in the spirit of Sarasota's famed architectural past.

“We took a lot of inspiration from the Paul Rudolph buildings and some of the other buildings that architects in Sarasota have done in the the 1940’s-50’s,” says Donald Wolfe, Jr., Nicholas, Brosch, Wurst, Wolfe & Associates.

The project is expected to be complete, by mid-2016.
